Super Yuri RPG (2.0.1)
By far, as it stands right now; Super Yuri RPG (SYRPG) is my most successful game that I've ever developed; and to THIS DAY I still get a small trickle of donations coming in due to that game; and whenever I do, I spend a few hours working on it further! (cause I guess money drives me I suppose ¯\_(ツ)_/¯). And because of that I decided to work on and release the first update for SYPRG in 2020! woohoo~ You can check out a more detailed description for the game update here, what I'll be mostly talking about in this blog is the main-menu art. I re-drew the whole thing for this update; truth be told I did try to re-draw it in version 2.0.0 of the game, but it was before I have bought myself a drawing tablet so I was drawing with mouse, it was a failed attempt and I went "If it aint broke, don't fix it" so I decided to scrap the idea and just stick with the old BG; choosing to mainly focus on moving the code base from Java (Slick2D) to Python 2.7 (PyGame) instead. The first main-menu art was drawn by a friend of mine actually, back when I was still in high school about, 5 years ago; He approached me one-day with the drawing (on paper with pencil) and I went "God dang, that's good!!", digitally drew over it; added the colors and effects,and voila!~ a usable main-menu BG! if I'm not wrong; I think I kept the original piece of paper that the art was drawn on; it *should* still be there; unless my parents threw it away or something.. :deadsmile: Come to think of it, technically that was the first ever fan-art I've ever received! I should try to get a hold of a scanned copy of the image when I can and put it here for display so I don't lose it or something; shit's priceless yo'. And you know what they always say: "You never forget your firsts" ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).
